We recently moved from Japan and pretty much everyone I knew there sent their kids to school at least a few days a week to have some time to run errands, get things done around the house, or just have a moment to breathe. I loved my son's school so much I cried when we left!Kelly Garciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02634264855308821023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6749824294530853328.post-64211639179628071362012-04-24T12:44:46.476+02:002012-04-24T12:44:46.476+02:00Hallo Frau Welle!

It's important for you to have time and if you use that time to do things you need to do then ultimately you'll end up spending more quality time with your child.

Plus there's the language and mixing with other kids benefits!

I'm an expat too (Scotland to Germany) and itSarsmhttp://sarsm.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6749824294530853328.post-1520860869676027722012-04-24T11:50:02.793+02:002012-04-24T11:50:02.793+02:00Thank you all for your very supportive comments! :...Thank you all for your very supportive comments! :)
I guess that it is easy for other expats to see the benefits like I do!Frau Wellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07415296406716073015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6749824294530853328.post-17401105731826408882012-04-23T21:48:53.438+02:002012-04-23T21:48:53.438+02:00I think it is really good for kids to mix with oth...I think it is really good for kids to mix with other kids independently of their parents, and I do't think you should feel guilty at all. Everyone has different views on this subject, and it all depends on individual circumstances. But I think there is a difference between sending your child to nursery while you are on holiday and sending them for a few hours a week which they might enjoy andfionahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13284847952437148628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6749824294530853328.post-30174542593181155152012-04-23T15:58:12.853+02:002012-04-23T15:58:12.853+02:00I think it's a good idea! You will still be taking care of her the majority of the time :) Plus she can learn new things and play with other children so she'll have lots of fun experiences while you get a much needed break.AMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14233574908888669866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6749824294530853328.post-39102683045067569962012-04-23T13:12:35.361+02:002012-04-23T13:12:35.361+02:00If she's happy and she likes it, it will do bo...If she's happy and she likes it, it will do both of you good. If she's miserable you'll notice it soon enough and I'm sure you won't leave her in an unhappy situation. All kids are very different and you won't know what she's like or if she's ready to venture out socially by herself unless you try. We all need some me time, don't feel guilty about that part Andrea https://www.blogger.com/profile/00730557217264985056noreply@blogger.com
