I actually think that the German coffee tastes better than Finnish coffee.
The Finnish coffee package:
A new vacuum package |
You just pull the two sides apart... |
...and you are done. |
Afterwards, you can close the package with the tape attached. |
The German coffee package:
A new vacuum package |
Pull off the top part. |
Cut off the corners. |
Try your best not to spread the coffee all over the place when cutting open the package. |
Move the coffee to a jar, as it is impossible to close the package. |

Yksi isoimmista asioista, mitä kaipaan Suomesta, on helposti avattavat kahvipaketit!
Vaikka tämä voi jonkun mielestä olla vähän epäilyttävä aihe, voin vakuuttaa, ettei tätä kirjoitusta ole sponsoroitu ;)

I think many countries - especially Germany and America - are too proud to admit when something could be done better than the way they do it. I agree on the coffee thing. This is ridiculous for people who pride themselves on efficiency. And don't even get me started on the ridiculous cost of espresso machines here...
Sää oot vähän puolueellinen puhumaan noista pakkauksista yhtään mitään ;D
Oh, phew, what a relief, there is nothing wrong with me. Every single time I opened a pack of coffee in Germany I used to wonder about the same!
Nice to know that I'm not the only one with this problem! Yes, there are several things that are better either here or in Finland. These two countries are so close to each other that one could think that the good practices were copied fast.
Ja citymami, tämä on täysin yksittäisen kuluttajan näkemys asiasta ;)
Yep, I know what you mean about the German coffee packs. Strange! I can't remember what they're like in England, though. Maybe the same as in Germany. Not good.
